Leslie Westendorf, Founder & Creative Director
I’m a midwestern gal with a love for design—my design journey started with interiors and has made stops in retail/store layout, digital product design, as well as design research and strategy. I have a BFA in Interior Design from Miami University and an MFA in Design Management from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
My husband and I moved to Greenville from Boston four years ago in search of warmer weather and friendly neighbors—nothing beats true Southern hospitality. While I sometimes complain the summers are too hot, we love this city, its surroundings, and mostly, the people. Maxpatch Studio got its name from one of our favorite hikes—the Max Patch Trail, which has 360-degree views of the nearby mountain ranges and is covered in wildflowers in the spring and summer months.
Since welcoming our son, Leo, in February 2017, we’ve had to rethink many spaces in our home to accommodate a busy and curious toddler. And this is just the beginning—there will be many more transitions as he gets older and we continue to grow our family. I’m passionate about creating interiors for families. I will work with you to design a functional and beautiful home that’s just right for the way you want to live, learn, and grow.
I love a great latte, a brisk walk, and discussing the ups and downs of motherhood, careers, and relationships. I look forward to sharing a conversation with you!
Special thanks to my long time friend and colleague Martha Cooper Design for her logo work.
